Björk Releases 'Break-Up Album' 'Vulnicura' Early
Björk, the artist to be featured in a career retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art in March, released her new album 'Vulnicura' this week, two months earlier than expected. The "heartbreak album" is pretty clearly about the singer's break up with artist Matthew Barney but tastefully includes the support of a 15-piece orchestra. Barney, on the other hand, released his six-hour film, River of Fundament, a year ago in the U.S. where he literally wades through a murky pool of excrement as the world falls apart around him. It's safe to say the artists' break-up is being channeled creatively.
