Boko Haram Massacres Nigerian Villages
More than 3,700 structures were damaged or destroyed along with 2,000 reported deaths after Nigerian towns were attacked by Boko Haram. Violence has surged in the past week with militants killing indiscriminately and using children as suicide bombers. Survivors are huddled in refugee camps as Nigerian elections approach next month. Whether the country will be able to successfully progress is doubtful. The attacks on Baga and neighboring Doron Baga are the largest and deadliest Boko Haram attacks yet.
