Boston Museum Opens Time Capsule from Paul Revere and Samuel Adams
The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston finally opened the 1795 time capsule belonging to Samuel Adams and Paul Revere, which was unearthed in the summer of 2014. The museum made history by opening the oldest time capsule ever in the United States. It contained 24 coins dating from 1652 to 1855, five newspapers, business cards, a title page from the Massachusetts colony records, a silver plaque inscribed by Revere, a copper medal depicting George Washington and a paper impression of the Seal of the Commonwealth.
