Boy Bullied at School Over 'My Little Pony' Backpack
After being punched, pushed and called "horrible names" at school because he carried a "My Little Pony" backpack, a 9-year-old boy was told by school officials to leave it at home because it was a "trigger for bullying." Buncombe County Schools further responded in a statement saying they took bullying very seriously and it was only an initial step taken to address an immediate situation that created classroom disruption. Grayson Bruce's mother was upset by the lack of punishment by the school and several online supporters have already set up a Facebook page for the Bruce family, accruing over 25,000 likes.
