Charlie Hebdo to Publish 3M Copies Featuring Mohammed Cartoons
Charlie Hebdo's lawyer announced the French satirical newspaper's front cover will defiantly feature caricatures of the Prophet Mohammed with 3 million copies of its first post-attack issue. Coming out Wednesday, the 44-year-old newspaper will be offered in 16 languages and "show staff will cede nothing to extremists seeking to silence them." The paper, known for breaking taboos with provocative cartoons on all religions, current events and public personalities, normally distributes only 60,000 copies a week. Facing bankruptcy before the attack, Charlie Hebdo has now won support from the French government as well as media groups.
