Chinese Village Produces 60% of World's Christmas Decorations
Yiwu, a Chinese city 300 km south of Shanghai, reportedly produces 60% of all the world's Christmas decorations and accessories, christening it "China's Christmas village." Yiwu consists of 600 factories packed full of migrant laborers who work 12 hours a day for a maximum of £200 to £300 a month. Many of the workers don't even know what Christmas is, instead walking out each day covered in glitter, red paint, and face masks.
