Co-Author of Book on Surviving Bulls Gets Gored
After co-authoring "Fiesta: How to Survive the Bulls of Pamplona," a book on how to avoid being gored by bulls, Bill Hillmann was gored by a bull. Hillmann was participating in the annual running of the bulls in Pamplona, Spain. The event, which was immortalized in Hemingway's "The Sun Also Rises," consists of a 930-yard course where revelers try to escape the horns of six fighting bulls. Aside from Hillmann, who was gored in the leg, four Spaniards have already been gored in the festival so far. With Hemingway's grandson as a co-author, another co-author was reported as saying, "We will probably need to update the book."
