Delta Profits $833 Million from 2013 Baggage Fees Alone
Delta made $833 million in 2013 just from baggage fees, more than any other carrier. The difference was made by a new fee that charges passengers for changing or cancelling reservations. Around 5 percent of Delta's revenue came from add-on fees. But even as airlines find ways to charge more for luggage, passengers are finding ways to cut back on how much they carry.
