Doctors Save Man with Chainsaw Blade in his Neck
Doctors in Pennsylvania managed to save a man who came into the hospital with a chainsaw stuck in his neck. James Valentine, 21, was pruning trees with a crew when his saw suddenly kicked back and stuck several inches into his neck and shoulder. He remained calm and conscious as his co-workers brought him to Allegheny General Hospital where the motor of the saw was removed while the blade remained in place to prevent blood loss. Fortunately, the blade missed his carotid artery and he is expected to make a full recovery.
