Facebook's Profit Triples due to Mobile Ads
After January marked the first time ever that Americans used smartphones and tablets more than PCs to access the Internet, Facebook was relieved to find users still flocking to the social networking giant on their phones. Facebook reported Wednesday that mobile ads made up 59% of its advertising revenue in the first three months of the year. That is a 30% increase. The company had a $642 million profit, which is triple what it recorded a year earlier.
