FBI Cracks Down on 'Largest CyberSecurity Operations in History'
The FBI arrested more than 90 hackers associated with Blackshade, a "malicious snooping software" allowing webcams to be commandeered. Half-a-million computers were infected worldwide, including Miss Teen USA Cassidy Wolf's webcam. It was taken over by Jared James Abrahams, a California hacker who tried to extort more nude photographs from Wolf through threatened online exposure. Suspects were charged with developing, selling, and marketing a remote access tool that allowed computer infiltration. Arrests were made by 19 countries with software sold in more than 100 countries, making it one of the "largest cybersecurity operations in history."
