FBI Track Down Three American Girls Attempting to Join Syrian Militant Groups
Three American teenage girls, two sisters from Somalia and a 16-year-old from Sudan, were tracked down by the FBI in Germany after attempting to join militant groups in Syria. Under convictions from social media campaigns promoted by radical groups, including ISIS, the girls were convinced to travel overseas to meet someone in Germany. They were sent back after a missing persons report was filed. Because they are minors, it is unclear if they will be charged or "arrested." The FBI Denver Division confirmed the girls are safely back with their families.
