Ferguson Curfew Lifted, Missouri Gov. Nixon Orders National Guard to Move In
After two chaotic nights of protests in Ferguson, Missouri Governor Jay Nixon has both lifted the midnight curfew and called in the National Guard. In an official statement, Nixon claimed they would "provide protection" for a police command center that was attacked Sunday night. With exchanges of tear gas, Molotov cocktails and gunfire, the racially charged area has been in turmoil ever since Michael Brown was shot to death by a white officer. Autopsy reports have shown Brown was shot six times, twice in the face.
