First Case of Ebola in the U.S. Confirmed in Dallas
The first case of Ebola was diagnosed in the United States on Tuesday in Dallas, Texas. The person infected was flying in from Liberia on Sept. 19 and began showing symptoms four days later after arriving in the U.S. It's the first time someone has been diagnosed with this particular strain outside of Africa. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has no doubts that it will be effectively contained, as Ebola can only be contracted by body fluids or infected animals.
