Ford Recalls 914,000 Cars for Power Steering Issue
Ford Motor Co. is recalling 914,00 SUVs for potential electric power steering system issues. The recall affects the Ford Escape and Mercury Mariner models from 2008 through 2011 as well as 2011-2013 Ford Explorer models. Potential problems include power steering systems losing assistance without warning. Ford plans to update software and either replace the torque sensors or replace steering columns.
