Founder of Chic-fil-A Dies at 93
S. Truett Cathy, the man who turned one store in Georgia into the $5 billion company known as Chick-fil-A, died on Monday morning. He was 93. Cathy had been sick for some time and passed peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. Cathy started the Christian-owned chicken sandwich business sixty-eight years ago in Hapeville where he decided the business would stay closed on Sundays; the policy still stands.
