From TV to Stage, John Mahoney is Still Acting After Departure from 'Frasier'
Since the hit TV show "Frasier" ended in 2004, John Mahoney, who played Frasier Crane's father, has kept himself busy pursuing roles on stage. Though he's played the role of Betty White's boyfriend on "Hot in Cleveland" he says "the theater is home." The Tony-winner's latest portrayal is in "Chapatti," a production about a man living in Dublin with his dog put on by the Northlight Theatre in Chicago. The show runs March 7 to April 13 before heading to Ireland. Though he is passionate about being on stage, Mahoney still calls his role in "Frasier" a "defining moment" in his career.
