Google Cardboard Gives Developers a Virtual Reality Experience
After Google's I/O keynote, the tech company gave a construction project to attendees named "Cardboard." From what looks like a simple piece of cardboard, developers can turn the strange kit into a virtual reality viewer with the simple addition of an Android smartphone. The kits, which were developed by Google employees in Paris as part of a 20% project, include corrugated cardboard, lenses, magnets, two strips of velcro and a rubber band and were . Though Google has warned the kit's contents may change or break, the smartphone housing designs can be found online for developers to experiment with VR.
