Graffiti Street Artist Banksy's Bristol Work, Pierced Eardrum, Vandalized
After street artist Banksy left an impressive parody of Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer's Girl with a Pearl Earring on Hanover Place, the work was vandalized less than 24 hours later. Black paint was splattered across the bottom of the woman's face. Banksy's last piece of city art was Mobile Lovers on a doorway in Clement Street, which was immediately contested by the Bristol City Council who argued it was city property. This will make the fourth piece of street art from anonymous graffiti artist Banksy that has been vandalized by paint.
