Healths Concerns Cause 15,000 Pounds of Trader Joe's Hummus to be Recalled
    Hot Mama's Foods voluntarily recalled 15,000 pounds of hummus and other dips sold at Trader Joe's and Target after expressing concerns of listeria contamination. Listeria can cause infections in infants and the elderly including symptoms of fever, headache, stiff neck and confusion. Though no illnesses have been reported, a test by the Texas Department of Health found Target Archer Farms Traditional Hummus contaminated. Affected products, including 10-ounce and 2-pound containers of the traditional hummus marked for use by June 11 and 8-once containers of Trader Joe's Edamame Hummus with April 29, April 29 and May 14 use-by dates, were shipped nationally.
