Home Depot Potentially Hacked, Bigger Infiltration than Target
After several banks named Home Depot as a potential source for identity theft, the retailer is investigating the possibility of customer credit and debit card data being stolen and sold online. The report was issued by Brian Krebs, an independent security reporter who stated card information could have been infiltrated as far back as May. If true, the hackers' breach will be bigger than that of Target, which affected about 40 million customers.
