Human Traffickers Attempt to Buy Toddler From Mother for $100
Southern California police are inspecting a potential human trafficking case when a mother reported two men offering her $100 in an attempt to buy her 2-year-old boy at a Covina market. The woman was at Baja Ranch Market when a man approached her with compliments and an offer to buy her child. She tried to avoid the man by lingering in the lobby of the store, but was accosted again in the parking lot when another man joined the first and continued to ask her to sell her child. After locking the boy in her car, the woman was able to drive away.
