Humans of New York Founder Raises $700K for Brooklyn City Kids to Visit Harvard
Humans of New York founder Brandon Stanton is using his Internet success story to give back to poor inner-city kids who have helped his blog become what it is today. Inspired by a middle schooler in one of Brooklyn's most crime-ridden neighborhoods, Stanton raised $100,000 in just 45 minutes after launching a crowd fund campaign to fund trips that allow Mott Hall Bridges students to visit Harvard. The campaign has now raised over $700,000 and is set to run for another 11 days.
