Husky Fitted with Two 3D-Printed Prosthetic Legs
A new mold has been developed by the 3D Systems' Freeform team to fit as a prosthetic for dogs without legs. Derby, a husky mix with a deformation in both front legs, was the first dog fitted with two custom-made prosthetics. The first thing he did after being fitted was take off running. The effort is an offshoot project from the nonprofit Peace and Paws Rescue shelter.
