Indiana Becomes 1st State to Withdraw From Common Core Standards
Indiana became the first state to withdraw from implementing the Common Core standards for grade school education. The standards have currently been adopted by 45 states, which has caused quite the stir in teachers and politicians alike. The state must now come up with a final version of standards by April 14th at the latest. The Indiana Education Roundtable will decided whether the version will be passed along to the State Board of Education on April 28th.
