Indicted Texas Gov. Perry Finger Printed and has Mug Shot Taken
After being indicted for two felony charges of abusing power, Texas Governor Rick Perry has been finger printed and had his mug shot taken by judicial authorities. The indictment came after Perry vetoed funding a "state ethics watchdog that has investigated prominent Texas Republicans." Perry also vetoed $7.5 million in funding to the state public integrity unit last year. The indictment is sure to cast a shadow on Perry's intended presidential run. Perry claims his actions were lawful and that the indictment is simply a political act to "achieve in the courthouse what could not be achieved at the ballot box."
