Kingdom Hearts 3 Slowdown Caused by Switch to Unreal Engine 4
Tetsuya Nomura announced that Kingdom Hearts III is progressing as planned, only it's being developed on Unreal Engine 4 instead of operating off of an in-house engine like Final Fantasy XV. Used for The Last Remnant, the Unreal Engine 4 was developed by Epic Games. Progress was stalled because of the switch, which is creating problems with image rendering. Nomura assured the problems would be resolved quickly with the help of Epic Games.
