Krafts Forced to Recall 96,000 Pounds of Oscar Mayer Weiners
Kraft Foods will be recalling 96,000 pounds of Oscar Mayer Classic Wieners because they contain cheese, which was not included on the label. According to the Food Safety and Inspection Service, the wieners contain pasteurized cheese, meaning they were made with milk which is an allergen. Since the label does not reflect the inclusion the FSIS has issued a Class 1 recall, meaning that use of the product could cause "serious, adverse health consequences or death." The cheese dogs were produced on March 2-3rd with an expiration date of June 16, 2014..
