Love is on the Web
A report published Monday from the Pew Research Center's Internet and American Life Project revealed that online dating does not have as much of a negative stigma as previously thought. In fact, thirty-eight percent of Americans who are "single and looking" say they've used an online dating site or mobile dating app before and fifty-nine percent of online users agree that it is a good way to meet other people. Online dating seems to be most popular with men and women between 25 and 34 and with those who have completed "some college." Though there have been many a happy ending, online users are still having to deal with "serious misrepresentation" on profiles and harassment from someone who contacts them.
