Malaysian Airlines Plane Supposedly Shot Down in Ukraine, 295 Dead
A Malaysia Airlines flight with 295 people aboard was shot down by a missile in Ukraine on Monday near the Russian border where pro-Russian separatists and Ukrainians are fighting. Speculations have been made that it was a Russian-made Buk missile allegedly from rebel groups in Ukraine. The plane was en route to Malaysia from Amsterdam; there were no survivors. Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko called it an "act of terrorism" and is launching an immediate investigation to find the parties responsible.
