'Midnight Rider' Filmmakers Allegedly Trespassed in Case of Fatal Train Crash
A grand jury brought charges of involuntary manslaughter and criminal trespass against "Midnight Rider" director Randal Miller, his wife, and the film's executive producer Jay Severish after a train crashed into the crew. The indictment comes after the freight train plowed into crew members on a railroad bridge in Savannah, G.A. where the filmmakers were trespassing on the train tracks. The collision killed camera assistant Sarah Jones, 27, and injured six other crew members. Film production has come to a halt as Miller faces up to 10 years in prison.
