North Korean Missile Technology Improves with Launch Demonstration
North Korea fired five short-range missiles on Sunday that flew 125 miles before plunging into the sea. The demonstration came the day after North Korea leader Kim Jong-un supposedly witnessed the test-firing of a new anti-ship missile. Mr. Kim has conducted more missile test than in the past and is said to be developing intercontinental ballistic missiles as well as attempting to make a nuclear warhead small enough to fit onto the missile. South Korean officials suspect the technology is being developed to more effectively target United States and South Korean military bases south of the inter-Korean border.
