NY to Allow Pet Cemeteries to Accept pet Owner Remains
After "a sizable segment of the New York community articulated a desire" to be buried with their pets, the New York Department of State enacted a new regulation allowing pet owners to be buried with their pets. Beginning August 2, pet cemeteries can accept human cremains for burial as long as they do not charge an extra fee or advertise human-remains burial services.
