Officials Complain About Mt. Everest's Human Poop Problem
Mount Everest is reportedly being polluted and is threatened by disease all because of the large amounts of human feces left by climbers. Nepal's mountaineering association is concerned that the world's highest peak is becoming less than pristine with the more than 700 climbers who spend nearly two months on Everest's slopes and are not properly disposing of urine and feces. Whereas climbers now dig holes for human waste, Everest cleanup crew is suggesting disposable travel toilet bags for higher camps.
