OKCupid Dating Site Boycotts Firefox's CEO Because of Stance Against Gay Rights
OKCupid, a popular online dating site, surprised many users today by not allowing them to access the site if they were using a Firefox browser. A message appeared instead that called out Mozilla CEO Brendan Eich for his $1,000 contribution made in 2008 to California's Proposition 8. Mozilla's board also faced three people resigning upon hearing of the donation. Mozilla responded to OKCupid's letter saying they supported "equality for all, including marriage equality for LGBT couples" and that OKCupid never reached out to "confirm facts."
