Painter Nelson Shank's Portrait of Bill Clinton Includes Subtle Nod to Monica Lewinsky
Renowned portrait artist Nelson Shanks revealed a hidden secret about his portrait of President Clinton painted in 2006, a subtle reference to the Monica Lewinsky scandal. The artist felt it was a metaphor for the shadow the affair casts over Clinton's presidency. Shanks said the Clintons "hate the portrait."
