Putin Agrees to Pull Troops Back from Ukrainian Border
As violence continues to plague southeastern Ukraine, President Vladimir Putin agreed to pull troops back from the border. Putin also pushed for Ukrainian separatists to abstain from a referendum on sovereignty, which was meant to take place on Sunday. Putin has agreed to "give diplomacy a chance" after talks with the president of Switzerland, who is Europe's chief mediator in the crisis. So far, there have been no signs of the troops removal.
