Robin Thicke, Pharrell Williams Lose First Round of 'Blurred Lines' Infringement Case
Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams' request to have the accusation that their 2013 megahit "Blurred Lines" infringed upon Marvin Gaye's 1977 song "Got to Give It Up" dropped was denied by U.S. District Court Judge. Instead, the court found Gaye's family had made sufficient showings that elements of the song were indeed similar, meaning the family's lawsuit can proceed.
