Rooster Teeth Community Mourns Death of Anime RWBY Creator Monty Oum
Fans of the local gaming culture empire Rooster Teeth are in mourning after Monty Oum, creator of the popular anime series RWBY, died at age 33 after an extreme allergic reaction. The director of animation reportedly went in for a routine medical procedure when he had an allergic reaction that left him in a coma. Oum never recovered and passed away on Feb.1. The lead animator for season eight of Rooster Teeth's Halo-inspired Red v. Blue series, Oum was best known for his personal project RWBY, an American take on the classic manga trope of monster-hunting high schoolers.
