Russian 'Zombie Drug' Hits Illinois
A new poisonous drug that rots flesh and can kill within 18 months has hit Illinois. Dubbed the 'zombie drug,' the Russian drug krokodil causes green scaly sores and can lead to flesh eating disorders like gangrene. The drug is being used as a heroine substitute at about one-tenth of the price. Three people have already been admitted in Joliet, Illinois, within a 36-hour period. Only one of the three women knew she was using the heroine substitute.
