Scientists Discover Xenon Gas in Earth's Core
Xenon, a noble gas scientists believed to be missing from the Earth's atmosphere, may have been found. The mostly chemically inert gas was thought to be unable to bond with other atoms, like helium and neon, which are also noble gases. But scientists have recently discovered that Xenon may be chemically reacting to iron and nickle held in the Earth's core. Xenon has always been suspected of playing a pertinent role in Earth's evolution and atmosphere.
