Starbucks' #RaceTogether Campaign has Baristas Talking About Race to Customers
Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz has encouraged baristas around the country at the 4,700 U.S. Starbucks to discuss race relations with customers. How? The Race Together initiative, complete with an educational race-relations pamphlet as part of a partnership with USA Today. Currently trending on Twitter through #RaceTogether, responses have varied from extreme snark from people who want to "purchase their coffee in peace" to appreciation, but at the end of the day, Race Together is already working.
