Successful U.S. Raid Leads to Capture of Suspect in 2012 Benghazi Attack
Pentagon officials announced the suspected leader of the 2012 attack on the United States mission in Benghazi, Libya that killed three soldiers has been captured. Islamist militant Ahmed Abu Khattala is being held responsible for killing Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens, an investigation that has been ongoing for two-and-a-half years. The raid was carried out by U.S. commandos. "Ambassador Stevens was the first American diplomat to die in violent assault since 1979."
