Texas Hunting Club Auctioning off Permit to Hunt Rhino
The Dallas Safari Club plans to auction off a permit to shoot and kill a black rhino, one of the most endangered animals in the world. The organization claims their goal is to save the black rhino by eliminating individuals of the herd that are "counterproductive." They also claim that 100 percent of the proceeds go toward the Conservation Trust Fund for Namibia's Black Rhino. However, conservation groups argue that if millionaires were serious about protecting the rhinos they would donate their money directly instead of shooting a rhino along the way.
