Transgender Actress Laverne Cox Nominated, Makes Emmy History
Laverne Cox, the "Orange Is the New Black" actress, made Emmy history by being the first openly transgender woman nominated for an Emmy award. "Orange" is currently in production of its third season. Several members of the LGBTQ community made of this year's Emmy nominations including gay actors Jim Parsons, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Sarah Paulson and Kate McKinnon.
