Treasure Hunter Unearths 1,000-Year-Old Viking Hoard in Scotland
    Derek McLennan, retired and a treasure hunter, found a "hoard of Viking gold and silver" dating back 1,000 years when his metal detector lit up in Scotland. The amassed treasure was made up of 100 items including the largest gold bird pin found in Scotland since 1891.This is McLennan's second significant find; last year, he unearthed 300 medieval coins in the same area.
