U.K. Krispy Kreme Apologizes for 'KKK' Wednesday
Krispy Kreme had to publicly apologize for a United Kingdom store that advertised 'KKK Wednesday' for customers. The promotion was intended to stand for "Krispy Kreme Klub" but in an unintentional oversight, failed to recognize the association to the infamous white supremacist hate group, the Ku Klux Klan. The e-mail invite to the club for fans was designed at the Hull location in England and only sent out locally, but the flyer gained international attention after it was posted on their Facebook page.
