Ukrainian President Dissolves Parliament, Calls for Early Elections
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko dissolved Parliament on Monday and called for early elections after Kiev accused Moscow of sending troops across the border. The voting was originally scheduled for Oct. 26. Poroshenko claimed the dissolving of parliament will not have weighty repercussions as lawmakers have not been able to keep up with the rapid change in Ukrainian society. The original ruling coalition of Ukraine collapsed last month.
