U.S. Men's Soccer Roster Released for World Cup 2014
USMNT head coach Jurgen Klinsmann released the names for the U.S. national team's appearance at the World Cup in Brazil. Though mostly seasoned players are making a return, it is teenager Julian Green, who made the 30-man roster, that comes as a surprise. Clint Dempsey will "captain the side" and Tim Howard, Michael Bradley and Jozy Altidore will all make a starting appearance. Brek Shea and Eddie Johnson, however, did not make the cut. The squad will be cut down to 23 final players by June 2 before traveling to Florida and on to Brazil.
