USA Advances to Knockout Round of World Cup After 0-1 Loss to Germany
    When the United States and Germany met on the World Cup field today, neither needed a win to advance to the "Round of 16," as a draw would advance both. However, when the USA lost 0-1, it was the Ghana v Portugal game that determined their fate. There was much build up for the game as the USA has a German coach, Jurgen Klinsmann. Thomas Muller scored off of a rebound after American goal keeper Tim Howard had already blocked the first shot. Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo scored for Portugal giving them the lead over Ghana and taking the pressure off of USA, as they could not capitalize on their offensive game. USA will now advance and play Belgium in the next round of the World Cup...
